In addition to written translation, Wiedemanni has also been offering interpreting services for a decade. We are able to provide interpreting services even in many less common language combinations. We take a personal interest in fulfilling each customer’s needs and are prepared to work hard to find an interpreter who will meet your requirements.
If you need an interpreter (or several interpreters) for an event, we ask that you inform us of this at the earliest opportunity. This will allow us to provide you with the interpreter(s) whose profile is the most suitable for the task at hand as well as the best price. In order for the interpreters to be able to prepare thoroughly for the event, we will have to provide them with various assistance materials (presentations or presentation theses, links and other pertinent documents, etc.).
Over the years, we have compiled a large database of professional and knowledgeable interpreters and translators. This means that we have access to professionals who can handle most of the topic areas encountered in real life.
Our interpreters have provided interpreting services all over Estonia and at events that have taken place in foreign countries such as the UK, Italy, Hungary, Belgium, Lithuania, etc. These events have often involved a great deal of responsibility due to the customer being a government agency or a large international organisation.
We are able to provide interpreting services in language pairs that are quite “exotic” in Estonia, such as English–Italian–English, Estonian–Arabic–Estonian, Estonian–Armenian–Estonian, etc. So far, our “record” is interpreting an event into six languages simultaneously!
When looking over our price offer and making a decision, please take into account the fact that in order to provide a perfect interpretation service at your event for two hours, the interpreter will have needed to prepare for eight hours.
Consecutive interpreting
The speaker pauses after every few sentences and the interpreter uses the pause to render the speaker’s message into another language. This type of interpreting creates a pleasant, personal atmosphere and provides the speaker with an opportunity to collect their thoughts during the pauses. It is suitable for business meetings and negotiations, unofficial lectures, etc.
Consecutive interpreting is usually done by one interpreter at a time.
Wiedemanni has provided consecutive interpreting services even in many less common language pairs, including English–Italian–English, Estonian–Arabic–Estonian, etc.
Simultaneous interpreting
The interpreting process takes place without interruption, concurrent with the speech. Simultaneous interpretation is suitable for official lectures, speeches in large auditoriums as well as other situations where the quick, accurate communication of information is important.
Simultaneous interpreting is usually provided by teams of two interpreters.
Interpreters contracted by the Wiedemanni Translation Company have provided interpreting services at all types of events and handled a wide variety of subjects. We aren’t afraid of new challenges.
Contact us if you need help with relaying an event into the native language of the audience.
Conference interpreting
Essentially the same as simultaneous interpreting, but provided in several languages at the same time. Two interpreters will work with each language pair.
So far, our “record” for conference interpreting stands at interpreting an event into six languages simultaneously!
Simultaneous interpreting equipment
Simultaneous and conference interpreting require the use of special equipment. If necessary, we can supply and deliver the necessary equipment, whether your event takes place in Tallinn or Pärnu.
If you contact us in relation to organising an event where simultaneous interpreting is needed, we would be happy to send you a price offer and provide you with advice in order to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
